I really wish I had given this a shot in the theatre. It’s the best L.A. movie since Collateral. With a real dash of American Psycho in there for good measure. The best word I can come up with is intoxicating. It’s shot so beautifully, and you get drawn into the strange and askew world of Louis Bloom in so smoothly, that you barely realize he’s a psychopath. It’s just this close to impressive. But then you realize he’s truly a monster. And you can’t stop watching. Easily would’ve been in the 2014 top ten.
